LOVE Island is sending ITV2 viewers stir crazy as drama intensifies among the couples in the ITV2 villa.
Contestants such as Jessica Shears, Dominic Lever, Camilla Thurlow and Jonny Mitchell remain happily coupled up, while arguments grow between Sam Gowland, Olivia Attwood, Chris Hughes and Montana Brown.
But despite the highs and lows of the Love Island villa, viewers of the show have been left mortified over one beauty mishap, and it would appear all the girls have fallen victim to it.
Hair extensions are proving to be a problem, with fans of Love Island complaining about discolouration, glue bonds on show and just general scraggly locks.
Commenting, one fan wrote: “The girls’ hair extensions are diabolical #LoveIsland.”
Another added: “Hate seeing all the glued in bonds on the girls hair extensions!! It looks so tacky #LoveIsland.”
Following their barnet fails, hair extensions expert and former The Only Way Is Essex star, Lauren Pope – who owns Hair Rehab London – has sent a warning into the Love Island villa.
Chloe feels “mugged off” by Chris as he ends things in pursuit of Olivia
Revealing that both the sun, chlorine AND fake tan – yes, you read that right – can cause problems when it comes to hair extensions, she’s come up with a solution.
She told OK! Online exclusively: “As the girls are in the sun everyday I would suggest they use a hair SPF on the extensions to avoid any discolouration from the sun, the chlorine in the pool and also your fake tan – yes, unfortunately if you’re wearing fake tan and are sweating in the sun the tan can actually stain light coloured hair extensions.”
She added: “A tip in the daytime heat on holiday is to wear your hair extensions into a ponytail or loose top knot, if bonds are placed correctly on the head you should not be able to see any bonds on either of these styles. “
The fake tan warning comes after Jessica left fans infuriated after leaving all her bonds on show after plaiting her hair.
Speaking to us about how to fix the problem at the time, Lauren said: “Pre-bonded hair extensions are great for loose styles and give amazing flexibility in terms of looking natural, as you can wear it both wavy and straight.
“However, if you are wanting to create specific styles like the double braids, I would always suggest using clip in pieces because the placement of extensions means they will be visible when the hair is split in two down the centre of the back of the head.”
We wonder if these expert tips will make it into the villa?
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
