Almay’s claim is that they are clean and hypoallergenic. That doesn’t translate to being cruelty free. They also claim to be cruelty free. Do they say ingredients manufacturers they buy from do not test? This is very important. They can say they are cruelty free but if they are buying ingredients to put in their products they are perpetuating the torture.
Ulta does not list Almay as cruelty free. Almay is owned by Revlon and does 3rd party animal testing. Revlon its self is not cruelty free nor has it ever been. Revlon’s animal testing policy is not to test on animals unless required by law. This means that Revlon is engaging in animal testing in mainland China, where the practice is mandatory for foreign cosmetics.
