From frizz free locks in that humid heat to managing to prevent makeup from melting off, we’re always impressed with the Love Island ladies’ beauty looks in the villa.
And although the likes of Olivia Attwood and Camilla Thurlow make it look so easy on the ITV2 dating show, it’s actually not so simple.
In fact, Love Island put plenty of beauty rules in place that make it harder for the ladies to always be camera-ready. Here’s some of this series’ biggest secrets…
SO many products are Superdrug’s own brand
In case you hadn’t noticed, beauty specialises Superdrug are sponsors of the hugely popular show.
Which naturally means they pump the villa with plenty of their own branded products, from cotton wool pads to shower gels.
But this also include beauty bits like fake tan and moisturiser, too. While we wouldn’t mind an entire holiday home filled with free toiletries (and actually Superdrug’s own branded fake tan is nothing to dismiss in a hurry) we know some ladies are super particular about what they use.

Other brands MUST be hidden
Did you notice Olivia Attwood playing with a lip balm while having a heart to heart with Chris Hughes in last night’s (Sunday, July 9) episode?
It looked like the beauty pageant regular was playing with a Maybelline Baby Lips lip balm, but the brand wasn’t instantly obvious.
That’s because all branding must be disguised in the house.
While we understand, we can imagine it’s kind of frustrating when you splash out on that beautifully packaged blusher just to show it off to your mates…
Run out of mascara? Tough luck!
And while the ladies might be grateful they’ve managed to make it to the final weeks in the villa, there is one massive downside.
If you run out of your beauty favourites — be it foundation, mascara or perfume — you’ll just have to make do. Or steal your bestie’s bronzer.
According to previous contestants, producers do not send in replacement products if contestants run out. Which probably makes sense because we’d be requesting 16 Lancôme mascaras and 23 Benefit concealers just to make it through the week.
But specialists WILL be sent in
Ever looked at the Love Island ladies and thought: How are your nail beds so perfect?!
While the answer will only be a yes for beauty fanatics, there is a reason behind they girls’ immaculate appearance.
2016 contestant Kady McDermott told OK! Online: “We got our nails done once, in six weeks… They’re definitely getting it done more this year. I reckon they’re getting their nails done every two weeks, they always look so fresh. I think the budget has gone up!”
As for makeup: “We never got our hair and makeup done in the villa, only on the live final.”
